Finally…some good news!

Needless to say, 2020 has been tough. With COVID-19, sheltering-in-place, social distancing, hurricanes and fires it feels like a new obstacle has been thrown at us every month. It’s been exhausting and we totally agree – we’re over it, too! So that’s why, after months of uncertainty, we’re excited to finally share a bit of good news!

It’s recently been announced that Hawaii has changed its travel restrictions. On October 15, 2020 Hawaii will drop the 14-day quarantine requirement to welcome tourists who take a COVID test 72 hours prior to boarding the final leg of their journey to Hawaii. An additional rapid test will be required and paid for by the county upon arrival at the airport. This is a welcome bright spot in a year that has made traveling internationally and domestically difficult, to say the least.

So, what does this mean for you? Your tropical, cycling vacation can finally happen, and of course, LifeCycle Adventures wants to help! We offer two different cycling tours on the Big Island, the Northwestern Kohala Coast and an epic circumnavigation of the entire island. Each offers a variety of landscapes, climate, history and culture, the perfect piece of paradise that we’ve all been craving this year.

Cycling Hawaii is fabulous for a variety of reasons:

The Big Island is the only island large enough to remain relatively uncrowded during a time when distancing is important.

A variety of landscapes and climates keep your tour exciting.

Two active volcanoes in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Quiet lanes and rugged cattle farms in the highlands.

And the obvious…white, sandy beaches, palm trees, breathtaking sunsets and fruity drinks with tiny umbrellas.

Undoubtedly, 2020 will be remembered as a year of countless, unprecedented events, but it can also be remembered as the year you finally cycled the Big Island.
